Frequently Asked Questions

We love seeing your faces and work as hard as we can to accommodate as many of you as possible without compromising the quality of your experience which is why we ask that you please reschedule or cancel your appointments at least 12 hours before your appointment. If you miss this cutoff you may be charged a cancellation fee of $50.00.

There are no exceptions to this policy for sickness, travel issues or otherwise because we apply this policy fairly to everyone. Bronzed and fair is our motto!

Because we love ya though, we make it as easy as possible for you to cancel or reschedule on your own directly from your appointment confirmation email or text or by using our online booking system. (Click here).

And here’s the biz mumbo jumbo–we know our policy is the most flexible and low cost of our competitors so please help us keep it that way by respecting our time and yours. It allows us to stay bronzing you forever!

Oooh girl, we know ish happens so we really do try to make it work. If you’re 10 minutes late or more you will have to wait to be squeezed in between other appointments. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee how long that wait will be. If you opt not to wait you will be charged the cancellation/rescheduling fee of $40.

  •  STOP using Dove or any body wash/soap that is not sulfate, paraben and mineral oil free immediately.
  • Exfoliate with an oil-free scrub or loofah/washcloth/mitt at least 4 hours before your appointment. This gives your pores time to close to avoid discoloration.
  • Shower, shave, and exfoliate at least 12 hours before your appointment (ideally closer to 24 hours) to give your pores time to close to avoid discoloration.
  • Complete all other beauty services such as manicures, pedicures, waxing, facials, and massages first. Ideally these are done the day before your spray tan.
  • Dress appropriately; loose fitting clothes are highly recommended.

For the gals–the choice is totally yours. Most gals tan nude to avoid the tan lines, but if
you’re not ready for that you can feel free to wear your undergarments or a bathing
suit. We also provide disposable bikinis, strapless bras and pasties. We’ve always got
you covered…literally!

For the guys, minimal clothing is suggested, but a bottom covering such as boxers or
briefs is required.

Bring loose-fitting clothes to change into immediately after your spray tan.
Think comfy and breathable. We suggest maxi dresses, lounge wear, pj’s or
your boyfriend’s clothes (no kidding!). No denim, strappy garments, yoga
pants, tight bras or underwear. Flip flops are a great choice too.

  • To avoid tan lines, we recommend going bra-less until after your first shower.

Stay away from all moisture until your first shower; this means no showers, no work
outs, no swimming, no washing dishes, no laundry, no lotions or deodorants, and no
liquid foundations on the skin. Tanning doctor’s orders!

  • If you booked a rapid tan, you can take your first shower 1 to 4 hours after your
appointment. Your spray tan artist will discuss the exact time with you before you leave.
  • If you booked a classic tan, you can take your first shower 8 to 12 hours after your
    appointment.
  • Do NOT wait more than 24 hours after your appointment to shower. Trust us on this
    one!
  • Your first shower should really only be a gentle rinse. Use warm water and the palms of your hands to rinse surface bronzer off your skin.
  • In the days following, avoid harsh scrubbing, loofahs, washcloths, hot water, and bar
    soap.
  • Pat yourself dry when toweling off. Don’t rub or you’ll cause unnecessary exfoliation of
the skin which will fade it faster.

Your spray tan will usually take 15 to 20 minutes, but we just can’t get enough of you so
we allocate a full 30 to 45 minutes for each client to include intake, checkout and questions.

A spray tan generally lasts anywhere from 5 to 7 days naturally. With proper aftercare and by following our advice, it’s possible for your spray tan to last up to 12 days!

How can we put this lightly? H-E-L-L NO! We pride ourselves
on mixing custom formulas for each client to ensure that your tan looks as natural as
possible.

Orange tans are the result of improper application, color mixology, or skin care either
before or after your spray tan. Follow our prep and aftercare instructions and you will
always be your perfect shade of bronze. We guarantee it!

Great question! You totally can, but spray tans provide no UV protection so you’ll need
to make sure you’re still wearing SPF.

There is no parking lot at the studio because #citylife, but there is plentiful free street parking for up to 2 hours on all of the surrounding residential streets. We recommend checking 33rd Street which runs parallel to Wisconsin or on Volta, Q or Reservoir Rd. which are all within a block of the studio. You can also park directly on  some parts of Wisconsin Ave. before 4pm and after 6:30pm. Please plan accordingly. Consider it a(nother) good excuse to explore Georgetown!

Oooooh the big day! We love it. To eliminate stress around your big day and perfect your color for photos, your wedding trial (or any special event trial for that matter) should be scheduled no less than 2 weeks before your wedding or special event. More time is always preferable as it allows us to tweak color and tone to your specificity before the big day, but 2 weeks is the absolute minimum. This also allows for full natural and/or artificial exfoliation of the trial tan before application of the final wedding or special event tan. (Because you’d be surprised how long our tans last!)

Your tanning appointment for any special event should be scheduled 48 hours prior to the event. This allows the full 24 hours for your color to completely develop before the event.

Good question, mama. In short, yes, but as with all elective services during pregnancy, you’ll want to take a few precautions.

Although DHA binds with amino acids within the skin, studies have shown that it is not significantly absorbed into the bloodstream, so skin application isn’t likely to cause significant harm to a pregnant woman or her fetus. It’s generally considered safe to use fake tan creams, sprays and lotions during pregnancy, but it’s best to avoid inhalation of mist because the effects of inhaling the spray are not known on anyone.

EuroBronze uses a triple filtration system in all of our tanning rooms and offers both nose filters and face masks for use during sessions. Although nose filters and face masks are not required, they can be worn to help reduce any potential inhalation of overspray.

We also highly recommend that you both run it by your doctor first and wait until after your first trimester as that is the most vulnerable period of your pregnancy. Otherwise, we look forward to giving you a little bit of your glow back!

We probably have the answer so feel free to drop us a line at info@ebzsunless.com or

Most tans require 24 hours to fully develop, but in rare cases it can take up to 48 hours. Please trust the process!
